Tree Talk, Tree Walk
--------------------
Saturday September 18, 3:00 - 5:00 PM
Don't miss this interesting program from our partner, the Norman Bird Sanctuary! Since the forested landcape of the Bird Sanctuary and Raytheon is similar, we can learn a lot about our emerging forest.

Join naturalist, Garry Plunkett for a stroll through the Sanctuary's trails and learn more about the forested landscape. Like most of New England, the Sanctuary property was cleared of its original forest cover in the 17th century when it was settled by European colonists. Second growth forest has now reclaimed much of what was once hay meadows, tilled farmland, or pastureland. Join naturalist Garry Plunkett on a stroll around the property to identify trees and speculate on what they tell us of the land and its history.
