Mark your calendar for noon on Tuesday March 30, when John Campanini, technical advisor to the Rhode Island Tree Council, will be our lunch-time speaker. John will present a slide show in the IDS Conference Room, second floor of Nimitz South. John spent much of his professional life as the Chief Forester for the City of Providence. He has a strong interest in urban forestry.
The Rhode Island Tree Council was established in 1991 as a nonprofit citizens' group dedicated to sustaining, improving, and expanding tree resources. Their vision is "A Flourishing Forest Ecosystem" accomplished through increased public awareness, good planning, knowledgeable volunteers, and proper tree planting.
