Last spring, a number of REWHC members attended the ECRI Chafee Awards dinner in Providence, where we met Allison Rogers, Miss Rhode Island, and invited her to address MMC leaders and REWHC. Ms. Rogers is a student at Harvard University who has is financing her education in part through her participation in the Miss America pageant. She uses this forum to disseminate her message on global warming. She is a committed and passionate speaker, and will present some of the activities she has been involved in the Harvard Green Campus Initiative, learning how to "green" a major institution. This lunch-time talk will be held in the Constitution Dining Center at 12 noon on Wednesday, Sept. 20. |
