Rhode Island state legislator Eileen Naughton (Warwick, District 32) has expressed interest in visiting NAMS Portsmouth in conjunction with a Corporate Lands for Learning (CLL) site survey. Legislator Naughton also expressed interest in introducing Raytheon's wildlife team on the floor of the House. The REWHC team is enthusiastic about extending our wildlife collaboration with local educators and students. This CLL site survey is the next logical step. We would like to schedule the CLL visit in early February to support generation of activities for spring. This provides an impetus for corporate to resolve funding for this task without delay. With the leadership of the Wildlife Habitat Council, we are on the road to certification of our site as a wildlife habitat. Education and Access are the remaining focuses for our team. With the continued support of the WHC and Raytheon corporate, we continue to make a difference in our community.
