The Common Fence Point Improvement Association (CFPIA) has invited REWHC members and their guests to tour the newly restored salt marsh off Taylor's Point in Portsmouth. Those interested will meet at the marsh on Monday, 10 September at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. The walk will take approximately one hour, and appropriate shoes and clothing should be worn. Anyone wishing to attend can contact the undersigned. Directions to the marsh will be provided to those who sign up.

Our tour guide will be Mil Kinsella, steward of the salt marsh. Join us! It promises be an interesting and educational tour of a unique ecosystem, and be a welcome alternative to the Sakonnet River Bridge traffic as well! I, for one, would rather spend an hour visiting one of our area's most beautiful places rather than spend it sitting in my car on Route 24!
